When refugees first arrive in the UK, it can be bewilderingfor them. Navigating a new country and a foreign language is a big challenge, made worse if you have no
money and are scared and alone. Care4Calais volunteers meet up with refugees to provide a friendly face and helping hand. They collect and distribute of clothes, shoes, mobile phones and other essentials.

They can also help them to access services such as legal aid, English lessons or public transport.Whatever your skills or interests – they need your help!
To register as a volunteer, you simply need to email [email protected] explaining why you want to get involved.

After that, you will just need to complete a basic DBS check and an online safeguarding training course, and then you’re good to go!
