My country was irreplaceable,

A home that will once and always will be in my heart,

My country was irreplaceable,

Its where I’m protected it where I am safe.

The cruel war broke out,

We all got kicked out,

This cruel war broke out,

All I hear are shouts.

Nobody wants to hide,

Nobody wants to be covered in lies,

Nobody wants to hide,

Nobody wants to have fear in their eyes.

Welcome her, our hearts,

No longer have fear, frightened,

Tears transform into joyful tears,

Welcome here our hearts no longer have fear,

Soldiers don’t have control we have been discharged.

Our home is a distant memory,

Ran away to a new sanctuary,

Our home is a distant memory,

Life has changed in search of safety.

Rummaging in bins with hope for food,

No one’s kind all in a mood,

Gripping onto the bottom of a truck,

Life has changed in search of luck.

War has ruined my country,

Left stains in people’s hearts,

War has ruined my country,

Life has changed in search of fresh starts.

Caring arms,

Enclose around us,

Keeping us safe,

Life has changed so much.

My precious home was safe,

Something I could trust,

My precious home was safe,

Inside me started to rust.

This war killed my country:

Paths and streets painted with blood,

This war killed my country:

I would go back in time if I could.

The journey hit me like a truck,

Desperate people crying in pain,

The journey hit me like a truck,

We all imagine sitting with our friend the town on a lain.

Dove is climbing back,

We were all welcome with open hands,

Dove is climbing back,

But now we are sleeping in a lovely land.
